🎃 Fall Festival Monster Mash Bash Success! 👻
Rock Creek families came together Friday evening for a spooktacular night of fun at our Fall Festival Monster Mash Bash! The halls were filled with laughter and excitement as kids (and some brave parents!) enjoyed trick-or-treating, games, activities, and a lively dance party with our DJ.
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and creative costumes—our students and families truly made it a night to remember!
A huge thank you to our incredible PTO and the amazing crew who poured so much time and energy into making this event a success. Your hard work created a fun-filled, family-centered evening that brought our school community together in the best way.
🎉 Fall Classroom Parties = So Much Fun! 🍁
Our classrooms were full of laughter and smiles on Friday, October 16th, as students celebrated with Fall Parties! From games and crafts to tasty treats, kids had a fantastic time enjoying the fun with friends.
Big thanks to our amazing room parents, volunteers, and educators for making these celebrations so special! 🍂
🌟 Congratulations to Mrs. Dreyer! 🌟
Dr. St. Pierre stopped by Rock Creek to surprise Mrs. Dreyer with the district’s Triple E Award, recognizing staff who Educate, Empower, and Equip students every day.
She’s gone above and beyond to support reading growth across all grade levels—helping every student “level up” as a reader! We’re so proud of Mrs. Dreyer and thankful for an entire staff that lives out this mission daily. 💙📚
We’re so proud of Mrs. Dreyer—and honestly, we have an entire staff full of Triple E worthy educators here at Rock Creek! 💙📚
🚒 Kindergarten Fire Safety Day! 🔥
Our Kindergarten students had an exciting and educational visit from the O’Fallon Fire Department! They got to see a real fire truck up close, learn important fire safety tips, and explore all kinds of firefighting equipment.
A huge thank-you to our local heroes for teaching our youngest learners how to stay safe while having fun. Way to go, Kindergarten – future firefighters in the making! 👩🚒👨🚒
📚1st Grade Learning Celebration – Nose to Toes! 🧠👣
At the end of our 1st Grade CKLA Amplify ELA unit, students celebrated with an interactive presentation from the “Nose to Toes” unit! They explored how the body works while building rich language, reading skills, and knowledge development.
A HUGE thank-you to Abby Dreyer, a nurse who visited Rock Creek to make this experience come alive for our students. She is a previous Rock Creek student, which is always amazing for our kids to see! The kids loved every moment and learned so much in this hands-on, engaging session!
🤖 Rock Creek Students Explore STEAM! 🌟
Rock Creek students have been having a blast with hands-on STEAM challenges in Mrs. Beckham’s Technology class!
Sphero Harvester Challenge: Students in Mr. Everett’s class programmed small robots called Spheros to navigate obstacles and “harvest” items. This challenge brought coding, problem-solving, and teamwork to life in a fun, interactive way!
Pumpkin Pedestal Challenge: Students in Mrs. Schlimpert’s 3rd grade class got creative building pedestals to hold as many pumpkins as possible. They tested designs, problem-solved, and laughed along the way while putting their engineering skills to work.
These activities spark curiosity, teamwork, and creativity—making learning hands-on, memorable, and a lot of fun for Rock Creek students! 💡🎮🎃

💖 Rock Creek Favorite Things! 💖
Want to brighten a Rock Creek staff member’s day? Many families ask about this, so we’ve made it easy!
Check out the link below to see all staff members’ favorite things. Whether it’s a small gift or a simple “thank you,” this is a fun way to show appreciation and make someone smile! 😄
One of the most important habits our students learn in Leader in Me is being proactive—taking responsibility for their choices instead of blaming others or waiting for someone else to act.
Family Idea: Pick one area at home where your child can practice being proactive this week. It could be:
Making their own breakfast
Packing their backpack for school
Picking up toys or helping with chores
At dinner, talk about how it felt to take initiative. Celebrating small steps at home helps children build confidence and leadership skills every day!
