Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

Memorial Day Weekend more than 1,300 Fort Zumwalt students received their diplomas as graduation ceremonies were celebrated for our four comprehensive high schools and for our alternative school, Hope High. The Class of 2025 boasts:

  • 21 recognized by the National Merit Corporation as among the top 5 percent of the nation’s graduates

  • 6 who were among Missouri’s Top 100 Scholars this year and 41 who earned the Seal of Biliteracy, demonstrating their mastery of at least one other language

  • 34 who chose to serve in a branch of the military

  • 10 students completing United States Department of Labor certified apprenticeships or certifications in the trades

  • More than $59 million in scholarships offered by colleges and universities.

Building the workforce of tomorrow one diploma at a time. It’s in our mission: Educate, Empower and Equip Students to Excel.

Each year at this time the district sets its budget for the upcoming fiscal (school) year, as required by law, before that year starts on July 1. We hope you find School Finance 101 to be a user-friendly breakdown of some important points, including:

  • The average cost to educate a student.

  • The district’s achievement.

  • Where the district gets its resources.

  • FY25 expenditures.

  • How teacher salaries compare with the county.

  • The impact of the Senior Tax Credit.

The law requires Board of Education approval of the original budget (in June), and of two subsequent revisions each year (in December and in May) to ensure members are aware of the district’s financial health. As is required by law, these are available on our website. In addition, a budget update is a regular part of every monthly meeting.

Connect with our schools

  • Attend a game or see a show. Senior Passes will be available beginning in August. Residents older than 55 can pick-up a Senior Pass to Fort Zumwalt activities at our District Office. You will have to show ID to prove you qualify. Passes are good for many events at Fort Zumwalt high schools. Not good for Tournaments or MSHSAA postseason play.

  • Empower your early learner. FZSD Parents as Teachers provides families with essential resources, developmental guidance, and support for children ages birth to 5 years. Families who participate are more likely to have students who arrive at kindergarten ready to learn, both academically and socially. They even provide developmental screenings, giving families and educators insight on how to best support each individual learner. Check out go.FZSD.us/Kindergarten for more information on enrolling your student. Or, share the link to sign up for a screening.

  • Join us for Soup's On! Twice each year our Superintendent hosts a luncheon for residents older than 55. Our events next school year are scheduled for Oct. 23 and April 2. Register by email or call District Office at 636-240-2072,
