A NOTE FROM DR. GRIFFITH
It has been a great start to the school year! I hope your student has adjusted well to being back to learning. We have had an awesome turn out for our clubs and intramurals and upcoming events that we hope you will be able to attend. Our big event in October is the Fall Family Festival from 5 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15. Admission is free and we will have games and activities for students and families. We would like you to join us for dinner as we will be selling walking tacos, nachos, popcorn, drinks and candy. We will have an array of baskets donated by our staff that you can buy chances to win! We accept cash and card for all purchases so mark your calendars!
Parent/Teacher conferences will be from 5 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 and from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30. This is a great opportunity to connect with our teachers and partner together to support your child. Look for emails regarding sign-ups for our virtual or in-person conferences.

Fort Zumwalt School District seeks patron input regarding district facilities The district has just over $32 million in funds remaining from FZ Prop 4, a $125-million no-tax-levy-increase bond issue for capital improvements that voters approved in 2022. The Veterans Day Celebration is Tuesday November 11, 2025 with dinner at 5 pm and the concert series starting at 6 pm. REMINDER
Just a reminder about East High Football Games: Middle schoolers must be accompained by an adult who remains at East for the duration of the game. Students are allowed to sit with their parents or they may hang out in the middle school section, located down past the high school band. DMS middle schoolers are not allowed to bring balls, sit in the visitor side or run around the patio/concession stand area. Thank you for your help in making the East High football games a safe event for all.
LEADER IN ME
Our Habit for the month of September is Be Proactive. Being proactive means to take the initiative to anticipate and address potential issues, needs, or goals before they arise. Students will be tracking their own school attendance and setting a WIG (wildly important goal) this month.
