A NOTE FROM DR. GRIFFITH

Happy March Everyone -

This school year, DuBray is hosting our first-ever student Walk-A-Thon which will kick off on April 1st. In preparation of this, we have information below regarding sponsorships. Feel free to share this with any business that may be interested in partnering with DuBray to assist us in reaching our mission: Dedicated to inspire, Motivated to achieve, Striving for success. If you would like additional information or have any questions, please contact Janna Hull by email at jannahull@fz.k12.mo.us or by phone at 636-279-7979. The deadline to sponsor this year's event is April 1st, 2026.

Earlier this month, eligible 6th & 7th graders received an email inviting them to submit an application to become a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Applications are due to the main office by March 31st with students being notified of decisions by April 14th. Students that are selected will participate in an induction ceremony on May 4th and will begin participating in meetings next school year.

Most recently, NJHS organized a food drive to support families in our school community. Students donated non-perishable items to make different meals depending on their grade level. As a result of those donations, we were able to make 41 complete meals which will be able to feed 5 families for an entire week! This food drive is just one example of how our school community can work together to help others and make a positive difference. Thank you to those who participated.

Lastly, election Day is April 7. Meet the Fort Zumwalt Board of Education Candidates on our website. Curious about the potential impact of Proposition RT on the April 7 ballot? Take a peek at School Finance 101. This website also has information about the Fort Zumwalt School District budget; where our money comes from and how it's spent.

LEADER IN ME

Photo of puzzle pieces coming together to spell synergize.

Our Leader in Me Habit for March is Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw. This habit teaches the importance of taking time to renew and improve yourself. It means balancing and caring for four areas of your life: your body, brain, heart, and spirit. By doing things like exercising, learning new skills, spending time with loved ones, and reflecting or relaxing, you keep yourself healthy and motivated. Regularly โ€œsharpening the sawโ€ helps you stay strong, productive, and ready to handle challenges.
