Happy February Everyone -
Planning for the 2026-2027 school year is in full swing. Our student ambassadors visited Eastside elementary schools at the beginning of the month to give a glimpse into middle school life. We welcomed future Huskies to our middle school preview night which allowed students to tour the building and hear about our performing arts and wheel programs. We had a great turn out and I am excited to see all the new sixth graders this fall.
The 2026-2027 calendar has been updated on the Fort Zumwalt Events page, and you can download specific events from our calendars to your personal calendar. The Quick Calendar allows you to see the school year at a glance. This file will be updated with upcoming school years as they are available.
We have some exciting events coming up at DuBray! Our Winter Party is happening today, February 20th, and Monday, February 23rd, NJHS is kicking off their food drive. We then have the Scholastic Book Fair from March 2nd - 9th, which will be open during Family Bingo Night on March 5th!
During the month of February DMS celebrated National School Counselor Appreciation Week and National SRO Appreciation Day. Our school is certainly lucky to have such an amazing team of school counselors who give their all to support our students throughout the year. Officer Luu does a great job connecting with students, building relationships, and keeping everyone safe at school. We appreciate everything he does on and off campus. - Dr. Jennifer Griffith

NJHS is kicking off their food drive on February 23rd, and it will run through February 27th. Each grade is assigned a specific meal with a corresponding list of items to donate to complete the meal. Students will drop off their donations to their first hour teacher. At the end of the drive, we will see how many complete meals we are able to donate per grade. |

Our habit for February is Synergize. This habit is about working together to achieve better results than anyone could accomplish alone. It teaches that people have different strengths, ideas, and perspectives, and when those differences are respected and combined, the outcome is stronger and more creative. Instead of competing or insisting on one βrightβ way, synergizing means listening, valuing teamwork, and finding solutions that benefit everyone. By collaborating and appreciating diversity, leaders can solve problems more effectively and build positive relationships
