Happy December everyone,
Winter has certainly arrived! Can't believe we have already had an AMI day! This is always my favorite time of year. Student concerts are happening throughout the month and they always put me in the holiday spirit. I appreciate you trusting our staff with your students each day.
Our first round of Blue Notes were delivered to staff the week of conferences and WoW! did they make an impact on our teachers and staff! Thank you to all who took the time to fill one out. Our team puts their all into the students they serve and this small token of appreciation means so much. Many staff display them in their classrooms or keep them in their happy file for years to come! If you haven't had the chance to fill one out, submit a Blue Note now. They’ll be delivered before break.
Hope everyone has a safe and restful Winter Break which begins Monday, December 22, with a return to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

If your student struggles with their grades or work completion, we have just the after school opportunity for them! Peer Tutoring will take place on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays after school, from 3:15 to 4:15 beginning Tuesday, January 13th.
The students who will be tutoring are 8th grade NJHS members, all of which have over a 3.5 GPA and little to no discipline record. The tutors were chosen by a few NJHS members, along with the President.
Tutoring will take place in the library or a classroom and will be supervised by a staff member. Your student will meet one-on-one with the same tutor for the full hour every meeting.
If you have any questions, please contact Janna Hull, DMS Registrar, at 636-474-3585 during school hours (8:15-3:15). If you are interested in Peer Tutoring for your student, please fill out the Google Form below.

Fort Zumwalt School District is launching an app called Stopfinder that will allow parents and guardians to accurately track their student’s school bus in real-time. The easy-to-use app is secured so only authorized users will have access to school bus information. We encourage families to download the app and create your account as soon as you receive the email invitation from Stopfinder. Invitations went out Tuesday, Oct. 14. Please be sure to check your spam and/or junk folders. Adding no-reply@stopfinder.com to your contacts might help prevent the email from going to spam/junk.
Stopfinder is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their student’s bus location. The app is also a two-way communication tool, providing parents/guardians with an easy way to communicate quickly with district transportation officials and receive notifications instantly. You can see an overview of the features here. Not all features will be immediately available. It is our hope to have all features live in the coming weeks. You can also refer to the attached quick start guide or connect with the Stopfinder FAQs. We are excited to bring this added layer of communication to our families. If you have questions, complete the form at go.FZSD.us/bus or call 636-240-3138.

Our habit for December is Think Win Win. We encourage our students to Think Win Win which means to work in fairness and have a team mentality. Instead of thinking of your needs only, consider what would be best for the whole team. Students are participating in lessons during advisory regarding this habit. |
