Happy November Everyone,
This is always a busy time after parent-teacher conferences. November feels like it is in fast forward! We are so excited to co-host the Tribute to Veterans at EHS this evening. What a great chance to celebrate Veterans and their families with a dinner and entertainment. I am always so proud of our students in the band, choir and orchestra when they showcase their skills. A special thank you to Mic Smith, Bob Pierce and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 458 for speaking to our students as we honor Veterans Day. Coming up next month, our performing arts groups will have their winter concerts at EHS. Hoping to see many of you during this festive time!
We are currently collecting non-perishable items for the No Hunger Holiday, supporting needy families in the Fort Zumwalt School District. If you would like to donate a frozen turkey, canned goods or a monetary donation, please send those items with your student or drop off at DMS. The last day of collection is November 19th.
Parents of 8th graders, we will be having an East High Community Night on Monday, November 24. This is a great opportunity to see EHS, meet coaches and learn about exciting opportunities at EHS.
Thank you to the more than 3,600 respondents who took the time to participate in our FZSD Facilities Survey. You can see the results, which were shared with the Board of Education at the October regular meeting, and learn more about what's next on Fort Zumwalt's website.

Fort Zumwalt School District is launching an app called Stopfinder that will allow parents and guardians to accurately track their student’s school bus in real-time. The easy-to-use app is secured so only authorized users will have access to school bus information. We encourage families to download the app and create your account as soon as you receive the email invitation from Stopfinder. Invitations went out Tuesday, Oct. 14. Please be sure to check your spam and/or junk folders. Adding no-reply@stopfinder.com to your contacts might help prevent the email from going to spam/junk.
Stopfinder is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their student’s bus location. The app is also a two-way communication tool, providing parents/guardians with an easy way to communicate quickly with district transportation officials and receive notifications instantly. You can see an overview of the features here. Not all features will be immediately available. It is our hope to have all features live in the coming weeks. You can also refer to the attached quick start guide or connect with the Stopfinder FAQs. We are excited to bring this added layer of communication to our families. If you have questions, complete the form at go.FZSD.us/bus or call 636-240-3138.

DMS is excited to once again have an Activity Bus! Students can sign up in their grade level offices and must have a pass by 12:30 in order to ride the activity bus that day.
Please look over the stops so your student knows which stop they should use. Remember: activity bus stop numbers are not the same as their regular bus stop numbers.
You can also find the list of stops on our website under Transportation and also under Documents - Activity Bus.

Our Habit for November is Put First Things First. This habit focuses on prioritizing and addressing the most important tasks over the less important ones. It is about focusing your time and energy on what truly matters, rather than being distracted by less critical demands. During our advisory time, students will be examining their "big rocks" and working on a personal mission statement. |
